OLM reports

Hi,

For the current project, I am to create a few reports in OLM. I jhave couple of queries

1. How do I create XML report and bring the output to excel. My report should be generated in .xls. How to do it, or should I use discoverer.

2. In which table is "class" details stored. A learner applied for a class, how can we get this report.
