Introduction
One of the area which is of particular interest in a typical ERP implementation is to understand user engagement and user acceptance. While one way of getting this kind of information can be via a survey where-in one can get users inputs another efficient way of gauging whether a particular functionality is being used is by tracking the usage report. For custom BIP Reports one can make use this article here.
One can even enable the Audit Framework too.
In this article we will try to understand how to find the list of employees who have not used the Absence Management functionality. We would try to get a list of all such employees using OTBI Analysis. One assumption we make at this point of time is that anyone who have not taken any absence recorded in the application is the one who has not used the functionality.
Here we will make use of OTBI feature where one analysis is used as filter criteria for another analysis ( complete article here.
For this example, we will perform the following steps:
-
Create an OTBI Analysis which will have all the person numbers along with the total no of absences taken by individuals.
-
Create an OTBI Analysis which will have all person numbers and then filter out the ones which have absences recorded against them
-
Verification
First, we will create an OTBI Analysis which will have all person numbers along with total no of absences recorded against them. We would use “Workforce Management – Absence Real Time” subject area for this analysis.
PersonNumberWithAbsencesTaken |
|
Field Name |
Data Source |
Person Number |
"Worker"."Person Number" |
# Of Absences |
"Assignment Absences"."# Of Absences" |
Next, we will create an OTBI Analysis using subject area “Workforce Management – Assignment Real Time” to find all the person numbers and then apply a filter condition to not include any person numbers who have at least one absence recorded.
Verification
From the above screenshots we can see that person number 10 does not has any absence recorded. We will verify this by navigating to the “Manage Person Records” screen and see if any absences are seen there.
We could see that there are no absences recorded for this employee.
