When we start any training in Oracle Fusion Financials, we ask the trainees to ensure that role synchronization requests are running.

Sometimes the trainees will say, oh I can't see my roles or I created a user and did all allocation of grants in Oracle Identity Management, but yet I can't do anything using that user when I log in to the system.

If you hit these kinds of issues, then please ensure you schedule the following tasks

LDAP Role Create and Update Reconciliation

LDAP Role Delete Reconciliation

LDAP Role Hierarchy Reconciliation

LDAP Role Membership Reconciliation

LDAP User Create and Update Reconciliation

LDAP User Delete Reconciliation

In order to run these

1. Sign in to the Oracle Identity Management Console.

2. Select Advanced Administration.

3. Select System Management, Scheduler, Search.

4. Search for each of the schedule jobs listed above, ensure that it is set to run automatically. If it is not, make that change to run these every 5mins or so

Hi Anil
Useful stuff.
Scenario for you : what if client is using Fusion and has basic OIM but is not licensed for OID ? How can identity be managed by Fusion then ?
