Automatic User Account Creation in Oracle ERP Cloud ApplicationĀ

Efficient user provisioning is a critical part of any HR and security framework, and Automatic User Account Creation in Oracle ERP Cloud Application plays a key role in ensuring smooth onboarding and system access. Oracle ERP Cloud Application allows organisations to automate user creation for employees, contingent workers, pending workers, and even supplier contactsāhelping reduce manual effort, improve data accuracy, and strengthen governance. This blog explains how Oracle manages automatic user account creation, the settings that influence this process, and key scenarios to help you understand how the system behaves in real-time.
Oracle ERP Cloud can be configured to automatically create a user account whenever a new worker recordāwhether permanent, contingent, or pendingāis added to the system.
The rules that determine how and when these user accounts are generated are managed through User Preferences in the Security Console. You can access this by navigating to:
Navigator ā Tools ā Security Console.

You should also review the User Creation Settings configured under the Manage HCM Enterprise Information task, as these settings play an important role in how user accounts are generated.

The option āBoth person and party usersā indicates that the system will create user accounts for two categories of records:
- Person users (employees, contingent workers, pending workers, etc.)
- Party users (such as suppliers or supplier contacts)

In Oracle HCM Cloud, user accounts for future-dated hires are generated on their hire date. However, for pending workers, the user account is created as soon as the person record is entered in the system.
To validate this behavior, we will create three person records dated 07-Nov-2025 with different scenarios and then review whether user accounts are generated for each case.
We will then verify the corresponding user accounts for these individuals in the system.
