Hi, I would like to understand the impact of splitting a single cost center into multiple cost centers on Finance modules.Any leads here?
One of the reasons for splitting up cost centers could be an expense that is allocated to multiple divisions within a cost center in different proportions. Split up would actually require adding new cost centers to the existing hierarchy. This would have an impact on the cost center hierarchy, which needs to be published after changes.
After splitting cost center balances into child. Posting to original cost center should be disabled?
There are two scenarios,
Scenario 1: If the user wants to use the original cost center, then it should not be disabled since we can split the expense from this cost center.
Scenario 2. If the user wants to post a transaction directly to multiple cost centers (new child) then, to restrict the data load at original cost center, it should be disabled.
