Goal Library in Oracle Fusion Talent Management

Goal Library in Oracle Fusion Talent Management

The Goal Library in Oracle Fusion Talent Management serves as a centralised repository of reusable goals that can be created, maintained, and leveraged to support enterprise-wide objectives. Organisation owners, managers, and employees can search the Goal Library to find and replicate relevant goals. HR specialists and managers can assign these goals to individuals or groups, either through goal plans or on a case-by-case basis. This approach minimises the time and effort needed to set up new goals by reusing existing, predefined ones. Within the Goal Library in Oracle Fusion Talent Management, users can add new goals, update existing ones, and manage their status.

In this blog, we’ll explore how to add and manage goals within the Goal Library in Oracle Fusion Talent Management to ensure they can be effectively utilised across Talent Management processes.

Adding Goals

You can add new goals to the Goal Library in Oracle Fusion Talent Management and, if applicable, include target outcomes to provide more clarity and direction for each goal.

Editing Goals

You can edit any goal within the Goal Library, even if it has already been copied by others. However, any modifications made to the original goal will not impact the versions that have already been copied and are currently in use, as there is no direct link between the library goal and its copied instances.

Setting Goal Statuses

By default, any newly created goal is assigned an Active status, making it available for others to copy. You can update a goal’s status to Inactive when you want to prevent it from being copied further. If needed, you can mark a goal as Inactive, make the required edits, and then switch it back to Active to make it available again.
