The Oracle E-Business Suite Architecture is a framework for multi-tiered, distributed computing that supports Oracle E-Business Suite products. In this model various servers or services are distributed among three levels, or tiers. However, the term server is less appropriate in the Release 12 architecture. Therefore, wherever the need arises, replacement terms like services are used. This course describes the Oracle E-Business Suite architecture and the key features the architecture supports, along with some related points. The topics which will be covered include an overview of the Oracle EBS Architecture including, The Desktop Tier, The Application Tier, The Database Tier, The Oracle E-Business Suite Technology Layer, Oracle Configuration Manager, and Oracle E-Business Suite Patch Nomenclature.
