In my previous article, I discussed the basics of the Goal Library in Oracle Fusion Goal Management.
To recap, the goal library is a repository of reusable goals that you create and maintain to manage enterprise goals. Organization owners, managers, and workers can search the goal library to copy the goals. Managers and HR specialists can assign the goals, either in goal plans, or individually, to a selected population. It reduces the effort required to create a new goal if similar goals have been previously defined. In the goal library, you can add goals, edit existing goals and set status of goals.
In this article, let see how to add and maintain goals in Goal Library to be used throughout Talent Management.
Adding Goals
You can add goals to the Goal library and you can also add target outcomes, if available, to the goal.
Editing Goals
You can edit a goal in the Goal library regardless of whether people have already copied the goal. Changes that you make to goals in the library will not affect those that have been copied and are in current use, because there is no link between the two versions of the goals.
Setting Goal Statuses
By default, the status of a goal you create is set to 'Active' to make it available to copy. You can change the status of a goal to 'Inactive'. When you set a goal’s status to ‘Inactive’, it is no longer available to be copied. You can change a goal status to 'Inactive', edit the goal and then restore it to an 'Active Status' to make it available to again.
Uploading Goals
You can upload goals from an existing external database to the goal library using an application-generated spreadsheet.
The following steps will guide you how to create a goal in Goal Library
