GL Periods in Project Accounting Doubt

I read that there are GL periods within in Project accounting.

Do the GL periods with in project accounting have to be opened separately from the PA Periods.
When I run Create Accounting, does the system check GL periods in PA module or GL module.

Please advise.

Yes, both pa and GL periods within PA module need to open.

Accounting always derive based on pa gl period and interface to GL Ledger.

PA period helps you to track your expenditures more frequently than your GL period.

Hence both PA & GL periods must open for period with in projects module.
