I have created a 2 EO's namely, DepartmentEO & EmployeeEO and corresponding VO's for the same DepartmentView & EmployeeView. I have also created a view link between Department and Employee, where department is the parent and employee is the child . I have also create Association between the parent and child object and have exposed them in AM. In Datasource section I have a relationship as below

DepartmentView
|- EmployeeView

Now I have dragged the DepartmentView on a page and created a ADF Table with single selection, namely departmentsTab. Then I have dragged employeeView on the same page and created a ADF Table namely EmployeesTab.

In the Employees Tab I have added a create button at the top right corner, which when clicked a new page should open with the create employees form and the department information should be reflected from the previous page, i.e the department selected from the DepartmentTab (parent).

How can this create page be populated with department information?

    Hi Abhijeet,

You need to drag master and detail child table for employee and department VO.

Then drag and drop create button from operations in Data control.

Define a navigation case from page 1(holding your above master child table) to page 2 by putting both of them in one task flow.

Drag employee vo in page 2 as form with include navigation button.

In the create button, define navigation case from page 1 to page 2.

Rest all would be taken care by framework.

Hoping this would help, let me know if you need more details.

    Cheers, Jay

    Hello Jay,

I have implemented the solution you have mentioned, but the information of department under which the new employee is getting added is not getting populated.

With the create button the New Employee form opens and I can create a new employee but filling in all fields. But the requirement is that the user should not require to fill in department related information while creating the new employee.

    Please suggest.
