Define Geography in Sales Fusion

Login and enter homepage

 Navigator > Setup and Maintenance under Tools

 Search with ‘Manage Geographies’ under ‘All Tasks tab’ and click ‘Go to Task’.

 Select country as ‘United Arab Emirates’ and click ‘Structure Defined’.

Click next to Country name for select the Country

 Click ‘Create’ button.

 Select ‘City’ from the ‘Add Geography Type’ LOV and click create and ‘Add Geography Type’.

  Add ‘Postal Code’ from the ‘Add Geography Type’ LOV and click create and ‘Add Geography Type’

Click ‘Save and Close’ button

Now, we have added City and Postal code as geography type. Now Structure has been defined that we can confirm thru green colour tick mark.

 Click ‘Hierarchy Defined’ link

Click next to country name to select UAE then the add button will enable

Click add button to create hierarchy following "Create City" Page will appear

Click Time Zone.

 Select ‘Asia/Dubai’ and click search. Selected time zone will appear in the Timezone Code area

Click OK

Enter City name in the respective field

If multiple cities are entered, then Primary can change at later date also.

Click next to City name to select Dubai. Then the Click Add button

After entered the city, select city and click Add button.

We have defined one set of geography hierarchy. Same thing we have to define for Abu Dhabi and Sharjah as city.

Now we have defined hierarchy. This can be confirmed thru green colour tick mark.

After defining the Hierarchy, the ‘Validation Define’ icon will be enabled.

The application wants to generate an error when an invalid address element is entered for geography type that is enabled for geographic validation. Hence we have to select ‘Error’ from the LOV.
