As mentioned in my earlier article, Oracle Fusion HCM Coexistence - Part 3 , Oracle product has delivered the following tools for integration.
• File Base Loader for Inbound Integration into fusion
• HCM Extract for Outbound extracts from fusion.
File Based Loaders
FBLs are used on the Fusion side to load the files are source system agnostic. It doesn't really care what the source system is, it can be PeopleSoft, EBS, or any other source system. As long as the source system provides the data in the required format acceptable by FBLit's the data is loaded smoothly. To learn more on FBL, please click this link
HCM Extract
HCM Extract is for outbound extracts from fusion . There are also seeded extracts delivered as part of the product. And using the extract, customer can extract the compensation change information, assignment change information, bonus change information. Any changes to their existing assignment and salary can be extracted. And if the delivered extract doesn't suit the requirements of the customer, the customer can create their own extract using this tool. It is a highly configurable utility where a functional consultant can configure the required data. The HCM Extracts can be scheduled to run on a daily basis or on a scheduled basis. This tool suports HTML file, CSV file, XLS file, PDF, RTF output. The Output can be sent to different destinations like email, fax, printer, SFTP server or HTTP server
The HCM Extract has the capability of creating a delta extract, which means that the changes that are available since the previous extraction. So that the HCM Extract need not send the full information every time rather they send the changes, so that the recipient will be able to find out only the changes.
With this part, we are coming to the end of Integration for Coexistence Scenarios topic.
