Hello Dears,

Kindly I need Urgent help from your consultants, I have issue in my current work, they implement Oracle HCM with 130 Business Units(each BU is one Project), now the time of implement Oracle ERP and we face issue that is difficult to build 130 Business units in ERP, a lot of setup need to be done.

The question is can we define BU in Oracle ERP different than HCM? and what is the impact of that?

In HCM: 130 projects => 130 Business Units.

In ERP: 5 Companies => 5 Business Units.

Hi Khaled,

BU is same across application and mostly driven and decision is with ERP business ,however you may or may not use BU at HCM ..for e.g there is no job set or department set for particular BU.

Thanks & Regards,

Thank you for your reply,

so in my case can I keep the 130 BUs in HCM and define whatever BUs in ERP?

Note that because of bad management decision the HCM implementation done before thinking in ERP.

Hi,

BU's are common across hcm and erp - only thing is which all are used in hcm and that business will decide.

Thanks & Regards

Hello,

Honestly it's not clear to me, should we make new implementation for HCM to match the new implementation of ERP with 5 Business Units instead of 130 BUs?

Thank you

Regards
