To upload courses using Web ADI (Application Desktop Integrator), you'll need to follow these general steps. Please note that the specific steps may vary slightly depending on your EBS version and configuration, but this should give you a good starting point:

  1. Setup Web ADI: Ensure that Web ADI is installed and configured properly in your Oracle EBS environment. If it's not installed, you'll need to work with your system administrator to set it up.
  2. Define Integrator: Navigate to the Integrator Setup screen in Oracle EBS and define a new integrator for courses. This integrator will specify the data you want to upload and how it should be formatted.
  3. Create Excel Template: Using Web ADI, create an Excel template for uploading courses data. This template will typically include columns for relevant information such as course code, course name, description, duration, instructor, etc. The template layout will correspond to the integrator setup.
  4. Populate Data: Populate the Excel template with the details of the courses you want to upload. Ensure that you follow any validation rules or data format requirements specified by your organization.
  5. Upload Data: Once you've filled in the Excel template with course data, use the Web ADI functionality to upload the data into Oracle EBS. This process will typically involve connecting to EBS from within Excel and initiating the upload process.
  6. Review and Validate: After uploading the data, review the results to ensure that the courses were imported correctly. Validate that all necessary information is present and accurate.
  7. Post-Processing: Depending on your organization's procedures, you may need to perform additional post-processing tasks such as assigning instructors, scheduling courses, or activating them for enrollment.
  8. Testing and Verification: Finally, conduct testing to ensure that the uploaded courses are functioning as expected within your Oracle EBS environment. This may involve verifying data integrity, testing enrollment processes, and ensuring that any associated workflows are functioning correctly.

To facilitate manager appraisals for employees before training and after three months from training within Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS), you can follow these general steps:

  1. Define Appraisal Templates: First, you'll need to define appraisal templates within Oracle EBS. These templates will outline the criteria and questions that managers will use to assess employee performance. You may need separate templates for pre-training and post-training appraisals, or you could include sections in a single template to cover both periods.
  2. Assign Appraisal Templates: Assign the appropriate appraisal templates to the relevant employee positions or departments within Oracle EBS. Ensure that managers have access to the templates they need to conduct the appraisals.
  3. Schedule Appraisals: Set up a schedule for conducting the manager appraisals. For the pre-training appraisal, schedule it to occur before the employee undergoes training. For the post-training appraisal, schedule it to take place approximately three months after the training has concluded.
  4. Notify Managers and Employees: Notify managers and employees about the appraisal schedule and provide them with any necessary instructions or guidelines for completing the appraisals. You may want to remind managers to conduct the pre-training appraisal prior to the training start date and the post-training appraisal around three months after the training.
  5. Complete Pre-Training Appraisals: Managers should conduct the pre-training appraisals for their respective employees before they begin the training. They will evaluate the employees based on the predetermined criteria outlined in the appraisal template.
  6. Training Period: Employees undergo their training as scheduled. This could be internal training provided by the organization or external training conducted by third-party vendors.
  7. Post-Training Appraisals: Approximately three months after the completion of training, managers conduct the post-training appraisals for their employees. They assess any changes in performance or skill development that occurred as a result of the training.
  8. Review and Discuss Results: Managers review the results of both the pre-training and post-training appraisals with their employees. They discuss strengths, areas for improvement, and any development plans that may be needed based on the appraisal feedback.
  9. Record Results in Oracle EBS: Record the results of the manager appraisals in Oracle EBS. This ensures that the appraisal data is captured and can be used for future reference, performance reviews, and decision-making processes.
  10. Continuous Improvement: Use the appraisal data to identify areas for improvement in training programs and employee development initiatives. Continuously refine the process based on feedback and outcomes to enhance the effectiveness of training and appraisal efforts.
