Objective

A national identity number is used by the governments of many countries as a means of tracking their citizens, permanent residents, and temporary residents for the purposes of work, taxation, government benefits, health care, and other governmentally-related functions. The number appears on identity documents issued by several of the countries.

This article is to outline the Oracle Cloud features which helps to configure national identifier type for different country. The national identifier type to be recorded are different for hiring employees in each of the country.  The ‘manage common lookup’ feature helps to configure the different national identifier for countries.

This is a very important feature as it can help to address the need to capture the different National identifier type formats for employees in each country.

In this example, we will learn how to add national identifier for Denmark, CPR is the national identifier used in Denmark as the national identifier type

It is not available my default in the Oracle HCM cloud as shown below

Navigation: Navigator>Setup and Maintenance> Manage common lookups

In the common lookup ‘PER_NATIONAL_IDENTIFIER_TYPE’ – Add the CPR as the national identifier type for Denmark. Tag differentiates for the countries. CPR Is tagged for Denmark (DK) and hence it will be available only for Denmark. It is also allowed to have multiple tags for each national identifier type.

Now, we are able to add CPR as national identifier type for employees in Denmark
