Segment Values not showing up when creating journal (for 1 segment) Doubt

I created a structure and added values in all values sets.. everything is good but when I go and create a journal and click on accounts.. all segments (dept, account, future) show values except for company segment (it shows blank).. I checked to ensure correct vs has been assigned. everything is fine yet no values show up.

I am assuming because I assigned balancing segment value to legal entity instead of ledger it is causing the problem..

any advice..

So I found the fix...

It was that when I created my structure instance i did not select required field for any of the segments.. and thats where when I submitted my accounting configuration it errored and I never checked that..

So when I reviewed the log thats where I found the issue.. I went back and updated segments to required and deployed the ff again.



everything worked like a charm afterwards..

    Did you create the segment value before deploying the chart of account? if you create the value before deploying the COA, it will not have the qualifiers associated with it and hence will not show the value.
