Thank you Ramesh! For US, I heard Fusion HCM cannot report taxes to govt and cannot produce W-2 files. Oracle Fusion provided Extracts to send the data to ADP so that ADP can handle tax reporting, payments to income tax departments and creating W-2s. Someone asked me when would Oracle Fusion able to bring this back into Oracle Fusion. We can do this EBS, but not in Fusion currently. Please comment on that.

As i mentioned in our second day session, so far ADP handling tax reporting, payments to income tax departments and creating W-2 instead of Fusion . Oracle mentioned in recent open world, they are trying to bring these features in coming releases either Rel 10 or later versions.

Yes, you are right. EBS and PeopleSoft application have these feature as a built features.

First of all Thanks for asking a great question. Kudos .....

As Ramesh Mentioned Fusion is a Completely new Product from Oracle a More Advanced, User Friendly and simpler product.

Basically Fusion = Best Features of EBS + Best Features of PeopleSoft + Best Features of JDEdwards

So any feature of EBS which was not Best is not in Fusion. For anything which was best its either included or in the process of getting included examples being :

a) User Hooks
b) Oracle Alerts ( Supported in Fusion Release 10)
c) Business Events

That's all which comes to my mind as of now
