    Hi Solomon,

As far as my knowledge goes, FBL will work in Release 10 for Fusion HCM Co-existence but with limited functionality as HCM Data Loader will take over the uploads functionality in Fusion HCM.

Also, I suppose there will be an option to chose the HCM Data Loader as the upload default module, but if this method is chosen then you cannot migrate back to FBL. All the uploads later to this has to be done using HCM Data Loader only.

Still these are just prototypes and discussions going on, but yet no official announcements or documentations are released by Oracle on this.

    Hope this helps.

Yes, users can continue with FBL tool in Rel 10 as well, but HDL is more robust tool than FBL and allows us to load bulk data and flex fields as well. Supports important business objects belonging to key Oracle Fusion HCM products, including Oracle Fusion Global Human Resources, Compensation, Absence Management, Performance Management, Profile Management, Global Payroll, Talent and Workforce Management. This is available in cloud, on-premises, and on-demand environments and supports one-time data migration, maintenance of Oracle Fusion HCM data via upload, and coexistence scenarios, where core HR data exists outside Oracle Fusion.

FBL and HDL cannot co-exist in the same system at the same time.

Once you enable HDL you would not be able to use FBL.

Starting Release 10 for all new customers Oracle has made it mandatory that they have to use HDL

Existing Customers( prior Release 10) do have an option to continue with FBL but that too for a short span of time .

In a nutshell answer is :

"Yes FBL will work for old customers in rel 10 and NO FBL will not work for new customers in Rel 10 "

    Hope this clarifies.

    Regards
    Ashley
