After much popular demand, for the learners of Oracle iProcurement, I am hereby presenting an audio visual presentation of Oracle iProcurement.

IMPORTANT: This iProcurement Demo [at bottom of this article] is purely intended for Educational and Training purposes.

My love affair with Oracle iProcurement started in the era of AK Developer.
Even though my entry to iProc world was late, Oracle's iProc product has moved
on further at a fantastic pace.

Thankfully now all of iProcurement is on OAF ( Oracle Applications Framework ).
But this transition from AK Developer to JRAD Oracle Framework did not happen overnight. I remember the day when Oracle made a limited release of Framework in iProcurement. One of the main pages moved to framework was the iProcurement homepage.Despite some minor connection leaks(oh yes Connections not being released), the move of iProc Front page to framework was very welcome.
For my client, this meant we got rid of all the AK Developer customizations and replaced those with Personalizations.

Ah reminding of Personalizations, "Add New Item" of type RAW never worked right until 11.5.10 FWK CU2. T

Anyway, coming back to iProcurement, the demo covers the following:-
1. A simplistic end to end process of iProcurement.
2. A brief overview of Oracle iProcurements integration with Workflow
3. A rich presentation of what can be achieved by personalizations.
4. How to design account generation for both Projects and Non Projects based Account codes.

Well one thing that I will not be touching base here is Local Catalog Management. I have'nt seen the need for Catalog management at the two iProcurement implementations that I have worked upon.

Yes, Punchout Implementation is an interesting topic. Given the time, I will publish a similar demo for step-by-step setups to implement punchouts in Oracle iProcurement.

The link below may take 1 to 5 minutes to load...please keep patience...

Anil Passi

Hi Pal,
I had originally done so by part customization and part personalization .
But I intend to translate that into part extension and part personalization .

This is how you could try:-
1. Extend the LOV view Object, i think it is called ProjectPALovVO( checkout for the exact name). The extended VO will have all the other columns like Task Number. Next you need to substitute that VO with your extended VO.

2. Using personalization s, add LOV region items for the new columns and again using personalization s define the LOV mappings at site level.

I am going to try this out myself very soon, and will post the details here once succeeded.

d epending upon the version of patch you are on, you may or may not need to visit files CheckoutDistsSv rCmd.class
Che ckoutInfoBaseSv rCmd.class
Che ckoutSummarySvr Cmd.class

Lot of these steps are common in iProc and PO.

This is evident from the setup white paper i did that can be accessed from link http://www.google.com/search?q=site:apps2fusion.com+iprocurement-setups-not-br100

thanks

Please try to see is CPA is visible using Personalization .
If so is not the case, then OA Framework will have to be extended.

Let me know after checking personalization , and I will advice on OAF Extension if need be.

Thanks,
An il Passi
