Before we start OIM R2 PS2 installation we need to take care of pre requisites. If we will ignore these at any point of installation then you may not succeed with OIM Installation. I am going to list down all the steps and software matrix required for the OIM R2 PS2 insstallation.
Firstly I will list down all the software matrix you need for Oracle Identity Manager Installer
RHL 5.8 as OS
i) Oracle database 11g R2
ii) RCU 11.1.2.2.0
iii) JDK 1.7
iv) Weblogic 10.3.6.0
V) SOA 11.1.1.7.0
vi) OIM 11.1.2.2
Run following command as "root" user to add "oinstall" and "dba" group
groupadd -g 501 oinstall
groupadd -g 502 dba
chown -R oracle:oinstall /u01
chmod -R 775 /u01
/usr/sbin/usermod -g oinstall -G dba oracle
assuming "u01" is the base directory of your installation.
After downloding all the software we need to install all the required RPMs in linux. Linux has provided "wget" command to install all the RPM directly from the internet all at a time.
Using this command we don't need to search for the dependent RPMs.
for this first Linux system should have internet connectivity.
Log in as "root" user.
# cd /etc/yum.repos.d
# wget http://public-yum.oracle.com/public-yum-ol5.repo
# vi public-yum-ol5.repo
and search for
[ol5_u8_base]
name=Oracle Linux $releasever Update 8 installation media copy ($basearch)
baseurl=http://public-yum.oracle.com/repo/OracleLinux/OL5/8/base/$basearch/
gpgkey=file:///etc/pki/rpm-gpg/RPM-GPG-KEY-oracle<br< a=""> />gpgcheck=1
enabled=0
and change "enabled=0" to "enabled=1"
Now
save the file and exit.
Run
# yum install oracle-rdbms-server-11gR2-preinstall
It will install all the required RPMs in your linux system required for your OIM installation.
Now you are ready to start your installation.
Installation for the OIM R2 PS2 will be in next post.
